A small child, walking in the surf along a sandy beach, bumps her toe against something she cannot see. She wonders, what ever can it be? And is it as curious of me as I am of it? Here are three verses from this rhyming story for very young readers:
It could have been a little crab
who could not resist the urge to grab!
With its claw, it had to try
to nip me, as I passed it by.
A turtle playing hide and seek,
came on by to take a peek.
When it popped out of its shell,
it might have tapped me, who can tell?
Or was it an a anemone
who wants to make a friend of me?
Its flower tips were reaching out.
It had so much to talk about.
