Some of these illustrations are from stories or poems I am currently working on, some are from previous illustration jobs, and some are just for fun. Note the edgier look of non-kid book illustrations on the bottom. This edgy/punk style is the original style of my work since coming out of art school. My comics from the 80s and 90s earned me the tongue-in-cheek title of the Sultry Pin-Up Queen of Cartooning. Teaching myself how to draw for kids is relatively new and challenging in its own way.

OOPS! I just sent you a comment asking you to post more of your work and here it is. I just missed it in my quick look at the site. These are wonderful. Don’t be shy to bring them front and centre in your blog. They really are delightful and need to be on your homepage.
Thanks for the advice, David.
It took me forever to find a way to get my ‘banner-kids’ into the banner, so I am still a bit techie challenged. As for the blog, I guess I feel I have to have something remotely related to the subject. My last post was bit sad so no idea what to put there! Crystal gave me this same advice so, I will be sure to include more art in my Home Page (via the blog). I will also bring a camera to all SCBWI events from now on.
Thanks for your comments!
